Subungual hematomahttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subungual_hematoma
Subungual hematoma is a collection of blood (hematoma) underneath a toenail or fingernail. It can be extremely painful relative to the size of the injury, although it is not a serious medical condition. Subungual hematoma can resolve on its own without treatment. If it is acutely painful, it may be drained.

○ Diagnosis and Treatment
Observation is sufficient in most cases. When severe pain is present, a small hole can be made to release the blood. A nail with a hematoma is highly vulnerable to fungal infection.
